HUAWEI Consumer Business Group (CBG) recently announced the launch of the HUAWEI WATCH 5, the latest addition to the WATCH Series smartwatches.

Building on a decade of innovation and design excellence, the HUAWEI WATCH Series, first introduced in 2015, has consistently set industry benchmarks by blending cutting-edge technology with intuitive and futuristic aesthetics.

The latest generation, HUAWEI WATCH 5, elevates this legacy, introducing sophisticated multi-sensing X-TAP technology, revolutionary health monitoring capabilities, intuitive gesture interactions, and exceptional design craftsmanship.

Precision Craftsmanship Meets Future-Forward Design

Inspired by the Kármán Line, the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and outer space, HUAWEI WATCH 5 features a sleek, integrated case design in two distinct sizes: the HUAWEI WATCH 5 42mm and the HUAWEI WATCH 5 46mm.

Both models blend polished exteriors and finely detailed crowns, delivering a seamless balance between aesthetics and function.

Huawei’s expertise in colour development is reflected in the new Sand Gold and Beige editions for the 42mm model, and a Purple edition for the 46mm. These designs are crafted using 904L stainless steel, known for its durability and corrosion resistance.

The 42mm uses this robust material, while the 46mm model features aerospace-grade silver, 45% lighter and nearly twice as strong as stainless steel.

Both sizes are also available in minimalist 316L stainless steel variants, offering users refined options in compact and larger formats.

Each watch is topped with a spherical sapphire glass, valued for its exceptional hardness and clarity.

The HUAWEI WATCH 5 comes with three strap materials, titanium, fluoroelastomer, and composite materials. The new composite strap mimics leather’s texture while being odour-free, waterproof, and stain-resistant.

The high-tech plain leather straps come in denim (beige) and silk (purple) textures, suiting a wide range of fashion styles.

HUAWEI X-TAP TECHNOLOGY: A New Era of Health Monitoring and Interaction

At the heart of the HUAWEI WATCH 5 experience is the innovative Multi-sensing X-TAP technology. This groundbreaking feature integrates electrocardiogram (ECG), photoplethysmography (PPG), and tactile sensors in a single streamlined interface, extending health monitoring capabilities beyond traditional wrist-based detection to precise fingertip sensing.

The introduction of this industry-first distributed sensing module significantly enhances the accuracy, speed, and comprehensiveness of health data collection.

The HUAWEI X-TAP technology distinguishes between varying levels of touch and pressure, enabling unique interactions across multiple smartwatch functions. By simply holding the X-TAP sensor for three seconds, users gain immediate access to Health Glance, a comprehensive health report encompassing 10 key metrics such as heart rate variability (HRV), emotional wellbeing, and blood oxygen saturation, all delivered within 60 seconds.

Powered by X-TAP, HUAWEI WATCH 5 introduces an industry-leading fingertip blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring capability, delivering accurate results in under 10 seconds. The fingertip sensor greatly enhances the quality of pulse wave detection by leveraging the dense vascular distribution and thinner skin at the fingertip.

Simple Gestures, Powerful Results

To simplify everyday interactions, the HUAWEI WATCH 5 introduces intuitive gesture controls, including Double Slide and Double Tap, enabling users to handle calls, manage music playback, and remotely control their smartphone camera with ease.

These gestures are especially useful when screen interaction is limited, enhancing both convenience and accessibility. The feature is also supported across multiple smartwatch applications, including select third-party social app voice calls, ensuring seamless control across various use cases.

The HUAWEI WATCH 5 Series also supports eSIM, keeping users connected even without their smartphones, perfect for outdoor activities or busy days. The smartwatch also features a dual-mode battery, allowing flexible switching between Standard and Battery Saver modes.

Users can enjoy up to 4.5 days of use on the 46mm model and up to 3 days on the 42mm in Standard Mode, while Battery Saver Mode extends battery life up to 11 and 7 days, respectively.

Through continuous innovation in wearable technology, including pioneering features like Multi-sensing X-TAP, advanced health monitoring, and intuitive gesture interactions, HUAWEI WATCH 5 Series reinforces Huawei’s leadership and commitment to enhancing users’ daily lives and wellbeing, allowing them to tap into the limitless potential of tomorrow.

Pricing and Availability

The HUAWEI WATCH 5 (from RM1,799), is now available for pre-orders through the HUAWEI Experience Stores, HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada and  the Huawei Official TikTok Shop.

Bercerita pasal hidup, kongsi gambar low-res, curah rasa — semua tu buat kita rasa ada tempat untuk jadi diri sendiri. Tak kisah la 5 orang baca, asalkan kita puas.

Tapi sekarang?

Zaman dah berubah. Orang lebih suka scroll TikTok, tengok Instagram reels, atau follow thread panjang dekat X (dulu Twitter). Blog? Jarang dah orang sebut. Kalau tanya budak sekarang, ramai tak tahu pun apa tu blog peribadi. Tapi, adakah ini bermaksud dunia blogging dah mati?

Jawapan aku: belum. Tapi berubah.

Blogging sekarang bukan lagi sekadar tempat kita luah emosi lepas putus cinta.

Personal blog masih relevan — kalau kau tahu kenapa kau tulis.

Tak kisahlah kau tulis pasal hidup sebagai cikgu, pengalaman melancong bajet, review kopi hipster, atau kisah tak jadi kahwin — yang penting ada nilai. Bukan sekadar nak views, tapi nak sentuh jiwa.

disclaimer: gambar dapat keizinan untuk upload

Blog bukan tentang berapa ramai baca. Tapi siapa yang rasa. Dan kalau kau pernah ada satu blog lama yang dah bersawang, mungkin ini masa untuk kau hidupkan balik.

Sebab suara kau masih penting. Dan dunia ni masih perlukan cerita jujur daripada hati manusia sebenar.

Terima kasih kerana sudi membaca dan support blog aku sejak 13 tahun lalu!
